i have such a busy week! going to a violin seminar tmr till 3plus..student having exam on wed and she will be coming to my house for piano accompaniment..plus‭ i need to go down to the exam venue with her to tune for her..thurs i've got another student coming for accompaniment. she's having exam on fri..after that i got to go for my violin lesson and come back home to teach my private student..and on fri student will be coming for accompaniment again and i'll go to the exam venue with her to tune for her..
as for the weekends,i'll be teaching in school..

alrights,shall update on my audition in nafa..
basically it was fine..the theory paper was relatively easy..a one hour paper. i tried my very best writing as neatly as possible(cos im usually messy in writing musical‭ notes), so i used‭ up the entire hour. saw a fren in nafa.he had passed his audition already..he updated me on a lot of stuff abt nafa..after that was the practical audition..my sis and i was given a room to practice before the test..
then come my turn for the audition..i tried to keep a calm composure and help my sis calm down too..
the examiners( 2 of them) were all ang mos..they only heard through half of my first piece and asked me to proceed to the next one..to save time i guess? the 2nd piece was always the most insecure one as the piano part was rather challenging. but luckily before we could get to the challenging part, we were told to stop and the examiners tested me on sight reading..
o gosh it was hard! like diploma standard like that.. i had to start over a few times with the examiner telling me there was no E flat, and tapping the rhythm for me while i play..
as for the aural.. i was damn shocked when the examiner only tested me on singing a single right hand melody..i was expecting the kind of aural i'll get in grade 8, singing the bass line of a complicated melody..so when he was playing.. my mind was actually thinking what was i actually supposed to do..it was later then i realised that it was only as simple as singing..
the examiners remarked that my intonation was perfectly alright, there wasn't much problem except for sight reading..which i can get practices in the orchestra..they even asked which nafa teacher had i have in mind to teach me..
i was stunned as i dono i get to have individual lessons from nafa teachers too.. well so from this conversation i guess i kind of pass the audition already, but i couldn't be too sure yet though..have to wait for abt a week for their mail..

anw on my way to nafa for the audition, i got to thank dear for his well wishes(in fact he already express his encouragement the day before), and oso to sooty too for wishing me all the best..

i dono why..but i'm not feeling too good now..a sort of uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach..

Okay, i know i've not been blogging for a long time, but seriously, i don really feel the urge to blog since i noe no one reads my blog anymore.

And there's nothing too interesting for me to blog abt.

Okay, i'm having my NAFA audition tmr. and ive found a pianist, my sis.

Its kind of sweet to noe that at least my sis could help me in desperate times, when no one else could.

So many pianists ive found, my colleagues, my frens, my teachers, are all unavailable.

i can't even hire a pianist cos he's not free on that audition day.

O well, at least that's settled now.

Gotta revise my theory le, tested tmr too..

my violin teacher asked me to give violin lessons at a pri sch!!

every Mon, 2pm to 5pm, @ $150..

Hmm..i actually don really like teaching a grp of students..i find it difficult to get all the kids attn.
and its kind of scary to have so many pairs of eyes looking at u, seeing wad are u going to tell them next..

my teacher is going to bring me along to see how he teach, giving me some guidelines..

and i cant simply refuse, when he has entrust this opportunity to me..
and i'll be earning more than was i earn in popular..

Gotten my English Proficiency Test result conducted by NIE..

I finally passed my EPT!!

But its a bit pointless now, cos i wont be going to NIE afterall,
i applied for O level music teachin recently, and i wasnt successful in the application..

its kinda infuriating, since the requirement was only O level; i had A levels, and even took A level music..

so i actually dono wad the hell is wrong with the NIE management..
they dint even tell me why i was unsuccessful when i ask them, they just replied me again that my application was unsuccessful.

felt like complaining to the MPs, but its kind of pointless too..

so now im applying for the NAFA dip in music performance instead, currently waiting for them to send me the audition date..
