Shall blog abt my student's "miracle"!

Well, i had one adult student..she's usually late or absent for lesson..
Then she's taking exam..

Well, when she comes to my house to play together with my sis, (the pianist, since a piano accompaniment is required for the exam)..
she does play okay, but she'll like cross other strings at times,
since i guess she never practises..

so sometimes i get a bit irritated..

on the actual day, the exam day,
she actually arrived later than the reporting time,(which is 15 min before the exam, as i have to tune the violin for her) when i've already told her to be on time..

when i called her, she said:" i'm on my way..hmm anw where is it huh?"

I was damn shocked..
well the exam venue was choosen by her, near her home at the jurong entertainment centre there,
and yet she doesn't even bothered to check it out..
and us(my sis and i) living in yishun, are even clearer than her abt it..

so i was really pissed off..

finally she arrived..minutes later..

i tune the viollin hurriedly for her..
the examiner is waiting for her..

she left her bag and violin case outside, bringing with her only the violin into the examination room..
we walked into the room..

"O i forget to take the shoulder rest for the violin!" she said.

so she rushed outside to take..
i went into the room with my sis first, to tune the violin again(as a procedere).
my sis sat at the piano stool..waiting to play together with my student.

Examiner looks at us:'' U waiting for ur teacher to tune for u?" (referring to me)

I was puzzled.."I had finished tuning the violin".

Examiner:" U are the student?"

Me:" Nono, I am the teacher, the student's outside, taking something.."

The examiner laughs as she finally understoods..


My student then came in.

And then exclaimed:" O i forgot the book!"
Rushes out to take the book..

she comes back with the piano part.

I looked at her and whispered:" This is the piano part you noe?"

She glanced at me sheepishly:" Yea i noe, i forgot to bring the violin part."

in my heart i was panicking and cursing her.
i tried to turn to my sis, sittin at the piano, to lip-mouth her abt the situation.
But i was ushered out by the examiner, since i've already done my job of tuning..

although in the piano part there is the violin line as well, i noe for sure she'll play badly, simply cos she's not used to seeing the tiny violin line printed in the piano part.
Furthermore, the piano lines will definitely confused her.
And she couldn't memorised the pieces..

minutes later when my sis came out, leaving her still inside to be tested on other components,
she told me its a gone case.
they restarted the pieces, since my student stopped plaing halfway, unable to continue with the piece, as she's lost.
and there's a piece whereby she failed to come in while the piano plays the interlude..so my sis just keeps playing the interlude over and over again for 3 times until she comes in.

after hearing this, i decided to leave my student behind while we left first.
i just can't face such a cannot-be-bothered-adult-student when she comes out.


yet she has gotten a miraculous result: passed with merit.

she told me she scored full marks for her aural component that's why.

i dono whether to laugh or cry.

i just want to thank my sis for training her well in aural..
